2nd WEEK

In our first day of our second week in our agency, we were divided by our supervisor ,Ma'm Flerida, into two groups. The first group consists Carla, Edward, Trisha, Kate, Gregory, John Audie, Terence, Lurence, Laje, Kent,and myself ,while the 2nd group consists Chari, Mitzi, Gelli, Aisha, Czarina,Ramon, Jonathan ,and Alex. We were assigned to different reseacrh centers in the compound. The first group went to the Crops and Soil department ,while the 2nd group went to the Livestock department. I am part of the first group so Iwent to the Crops and soil department.

In the Crops and Soil department, we met Ma'm Evelyn which served as a supervisor for that department. In our first day in this research department, we were taught the different kinds of decomposers in the fertilizer which could help the farmers in planting. She showed us the different mediums used for their research which involves this decomposers. This research could differentiate the quality of fertilzer used in planting. Then we moved on to the nursery and she introduced us to "Nong" Iking and "Nong" Ricky who taught us the plant propagation. I learned that Marcotting and budding is an example of plant propagation. They also taught us how to graft, to marcot and to bud plants. We also tried to graft a plant, Each of us had a plant and grafted it to another.
