April 30,2007 Monday

We were given papers that are to be used for surveying the population of wesviarc residents. One was given for every pair. My pair was Greg. Before we commenced on the survey, mam Flerida first briefed us with the college interns. Then she led us across the houses of the residents of wesviarc. The survey aimed to know the number of squatting residents in Wesviarc. Our intervewee was a Mr. Carmelo. It appears that squatters are even employees of wesviarc itself. It also appears that they have been here for a long time now for their houses are concrete. In the afternoon, we,together with the college interns, were given a lecture on rice plants- their main parts and their life cycle. a researcher from the regional office gave the lecture.

May 2,2007 Wednesday

We are moved from the crops department to the livestock department. We were briefed for our project for the department- PUGO POSTER. Later, we were led to the poultry area for our reconnaisance mission- fecal retrieval. Our lecturer was a Mr Jaybiz. We were to insert our fecal collection device,a stick with cotton on the tip, the rear of our subject-live chicken. I was one of the entrapment people, catching the "ferocious" chickens. Then Audie, Greg and Carla began the insertion process. Carla failed with the first attempt but eventually walked away with the prize-chicken poop. Greg easily made it, while Audie's mission was a disaster. Audie's chicken was like the rest but when he retrieved his device and examined its contents, we saw blood. Audie must have ripped apart the insides of the chicken. However, there was another operation to be conducted-more chickens to test. Again we caught chicken and we tested them. Greg's chicken didn't have what we need(poop), so it was released. Kate's chicken had poop, but Carla had to retrieve it for Kate. Audie in the other hand was uh. .ripping apart chicken insides. Well Audie's chickens seem to have diseases, seems to be a coincidence.

We did not do anything spectacular for the morning. Well, I ate ice candy. In the afternoon, Carla, Greg, Audie and me bought construction materials for our project. Besides these events, nothing really spectacular took place in WESVIARC. Well, the afternoon, I ate another Ice candy.
