Tuesday (May 8)
That day, we were taken to the seed lab. In their conference hall, we waited for someone to give us some kind of introduction, but when that someone came, what we got instead was some crummy test. Maybe it was their way of finding out how much we know about the topic of seeds, but we never wanted it to be that way. After the ghastly test, we had a lecture. The guy in charge was really reluctant and apathetic in giving the lecture. That’s why he dismissed us early that morning, but “his reason (that he told us)” was that we all looked hungry..? He's got something else in mind.
Later that afternoon, we went back to the seed lab where a new guy took charge of us. He took us to a laboratory and taught us about seed health. Then we performed some sort of lab work. It involved putting rice seeds in a damp tissue to let fungi grow. Our work has to be observed in nine days thus prolonging our stay in WESVIARC. We then went home..
