FIRST WEEK

FIRST WEEK:

I know this is so late because first, i had a hard time logging in...second, the internet connection is so bad.

Well, on the first day...We logged in from a log book (i felt like a teacher!) and proceeded to go inside.

We actually did nothing but had a flag cerremony (a long one that is), introduce ourselves in front of college students, had a tour around the place, met some researchers and workers and took some time to rest in the library.

Our supervisor is Ma'am Flerida Demamay and she told us about the house rules and how to make bags for the fruits of the mango trees (well, it was actually Nong Jeron). She also made us write an essay composing of more than a hundred words about our expectations here in WESVIARC. We also had our election for president, vice president, secretary and treasurer who turned out to be...Gelli-President, Gregory-Vice President, Aisha-Secretary and Chari-Treasurer.

We also learned about tissue culture and did some stuff like placing the "clean and cutted" sucker of the banana inside a bottle of mixture which is composed of water, sugar and etc.

We also had a powerpoint presentation about vegetables and postharvest handling of vegetables. It showed us a lot of facts like PHILIPPINES ranked 7th is Asia's top vegetables producers, the per Capita Consumption and lots of stuff.

after all those stuff...we managed to finish our first week..
